Remote/Hybrid: This role is based REMOTE but if you live within a 50-mile radius of Warren, MI - Cadillac Tower you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum. This job may be eligible for relocation.

Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and dynamic Senior Social Media Content Creator to join the GM Social Media & Global Marketing team at a leading vehicle brand in our portfolio. With proven leadership experience in social media content creation and brand storytelling, you will take the lead in conceptualizing, producing, and executing innovative and engaging content for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and other key platforms. You will work independently, and with brand strategists to elevate the brand's digital presence, creating content that resonates with a broad audience while staying at the forefront of trends and cultural shifts. As a Senior Content Creator, you will also play a key role collaborating with junior team members and contributing to the strategic direction of the content calendar.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation & Strategy: Independently conceive, shoot, edit, and produce high-quality, platform-optimized content that amplifies brand presence across social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, etc.).


  • On-Screen Representation: Act as a confident and engaging on-screen talent for brand videos, creating authentic, compelling stories that align with the brand voice and resonate with our audience.


  • Leadership & Mentorship: Collaborate with the Social Media Strategist to lead the organic content calendar, while mentoring junior team members and supporting their content creation efforts.


  • Trend Integration & Innovation: Drive trend-forward content and identify emerging social media opportunities. Stay ahead of industry trends, content formats, and audience preferences to consistently deliver engaging material.


  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal marketing, social strategy, and agency teams to develop fresh, creative content ideas and execute them seamlessly across platforms.


  • Platform Optimization & Engagement: Ensure all content is optimized for each platform to maximize audience engagement, keeping in mind specific format requirements and audience behavior.


  • Event & Campaign Coverage: Lead content production during key shoots and events, managing end-to-end content creation, including capturing content live and editing it for fast turnaround.


  • Performance Tracking & Growth: Focus on driving measurable results, improving social media metrics, and increasing brand engagement across social channels through high-quality, shareable content.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years in social media content creation, video production, or editing for a brand, publisher, or self contracted creator. Experience leading content strategies and creating content independently for brands or clients.


  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing innovative work on Instagram and TikTok, including a demonstrated ability to drive engagement and reach.


  • On-Camera Expertise: Comfortable and energetic in front of the camera (ideal), bringing a distinctive personality to brand content even if from 'behind the lens'.


  • Social Media Mastery: Deep knowledge of platform-specific strategies, trends, and creative best practices. Ability to adapt to changes and innovate with new trends.


  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in video capture and editing software, including Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, CapCut, and other editing tools.


  • Project Management: Exceptional ability to manage multiple content creation projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with broader marketing objectives.


  • Education : Bachelors degree required.
  • Travel : up to 50%+

Additional Description

Compensation:

  • The expected base compensation for this role is: ($94,800-$151,400). Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
