About the Group and the Position

The Vehicle Viewing and Insights Group (VVI) is a multi-talent group with diverse skill set, responsible for inventing, designing and real-time software implementation of innovative computer vision based algorithms, to ensure the best solution for our customers all over the world.

VVI DevOps team is responsible for the streamlining and integration of the different VVI products through the build and delivery pipelines, using multitude of technologies and systems, while guiding and assisting the development teams with ALM and relevant tools.

What will YOU do?

You will join an always improving team and take a significant role in developing and provisioning top notch development environments.

You will work in Agile environment working hand in hand with developers to create and improve state of the art solutions for GM (General Motors) customers.

You will:

  • Enhance and support automated infrastructure administration workflow
  • Ensure security, performance and high availability of development and validation environments
  • Collaborate with IT and Development teams around the globe
  • Develop, Integrate and Improve CI/CD pipelines to support algorithmic and software development
  • Consult and support development and QA teams with DevOps/ALM aspects

Additional Description

What are we looking for?

  • Over 5 years' experience in script writing using python/groovy/bash and a solid Linux background
  • Over 5 years' experience with Jenkins and scripted pipelines other OSS CI/CD tools
  • Over 3 years' experience with Artifactory
  • Over 3 years' experience and knowledge with Docker image creation and orchestration
  • Experience in planning and implementing CI/CD pipelines including virtualization and embedded targets
  • Experience in a software release management
  • Profound knowledge in Linux/Unix operating systems
  • Applications Lifecycle Management knowledge, understanding and experience, including SW development lifecycles such as Agile, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment.
  • Deep understanding of Git version control tools principals and flows

It is an advantage if you have:

  • C/C++ development or/and projects support previous experience
  • CMake or similar build process managing tool experience
  • Experience with Virtualization and Cloud e.g., VMware and Azure
  • Ability to perform operations on large datasets
  • Understanding and experience with OSS licenses and OSS licenses management and approval tools (Blackduck, FOSSA)
  • Code Quality tools experience (SonarQube, Parasoft or similar)
