Work Arrangement
This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the selected candidate is expected to report to a specific location at least 3 times a week (or other frequency dictated by manager). The primary work location will be Warren, Michigan.
The Role
The Program Management team plays a critical role in the successful execution of new technology development and implementation in the Autonomous Robotics Center (ARC). As we expand our vehicle portfolio in pursuit of GM's Zero/Zero/Zero vision, the team is seeking a qualified candidate to lead strategic initiatives across the ARC and Manufacturing Engineering teams.
This position involves framing and making complex decisions regarding products, manufacturing, and projects with precision and agility, ensuring alignment across multiple cross functional teams and business objectives. The Program Manager is expected to exercise independent judgment and creativity and must work effectively across functions and with various management levels. Candidates should be able to identify risks during development, communicate clearly in meetings, presentations, and discussions with senior leaders, and facilitate team-building activities. The role emphasizes independent decision-making, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration throughout all levels of management.

What You Will Do
- Lead and Facilitate Cross-Functional Teams
Orchestrate collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and quality teams to ensure seamless program execution. Foster accountability and alignment toward shared goals.
- Apply Deep Technical Expertise
Leverage a comprehensive understanding of vehicle systems, manufacturing processes, and engineering principles to guide program decisions and resolve technical challenges. - Define and Execute Program Strategy
Establish a clear program roadmap that balances customer expectations, technical feasibility, regulatory compliance, and business objectives. Ensure strategic alignment across all phases of development. - Manage Program Imperatives and Risk
Identify potential threats to timing, cost, and quality, and implement mitigation strategies to protect program integrity. - Prepare and Deliver Leadership Review Materials
Create compelling, data-driven presentations for Milestone/Gate reviews and other executive forums. Communicate program status, risks, and decisions with clarity and confidence. - Drive Issue Resolution and Decision Framing
Navigate ambiguity and complexity by framing decisions effectively, facilitating stakeholder input, and driving timely resolution of issues and uncertainties. - Adapt to Dynamic Environments
Maintain effectiveness in fast-paced, evolving contexts involving new technologies, shifting responsibilities, and diverse market demands. Demonstrate agility and resilience. - Communicate Across All Levels of the Organization
Deliver impactful presentations and updates to all levels of management-from technical teams to senior executives-ensuring transparency, alignment, and strategic clarity.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- 5+ years of professional experience.
- History of developing and driving high performance teams
- Evidence of strong framing and communication skills
- Understanding of many aspects of the business: including knowledge of Manufacturing, Engineering, GPSC, Marketing, Finance, Design and Planning
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate and mitigate risks across technical, financial, and operational domains
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, hands-on environments with shifting priorities and limited resources
- Extensive understanding of the GM's organization, resources, and functions
- Technical or Business undergrad degree; equivalent experience
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
- Planning, Program Manager or related cross functional experience
- Technical or Business undergraduate degree preferred
- MBA or equivalent preferred
