The Operations Shift Leader will supervise a small to medium group of employees (salaried and potentially hourly employees). Work requires the ability to make decisions based on established procedure. Work is of a technical nature using independent judgment within the limits of GMS, focusing on Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE). The selected candidate MUST have the ability to work rotating shifts.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
- Comply with the terms of local and national labor agreements
- Implements divisional and corporate policies
- Implements safety and good housekeeping practices
- Frequent contact and collaboration with others outside of the work group
- Responsible for the effective use of personnel, material and equipment
- Participates in the selection of new employees
- Train, develop and evaluate employees
- Establishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project
- Assists in the development of budgets and forecasts within assigned area
- Obtains a deep knowledge and ability to implement GMS principles
- Create and oversee operational plan for routine activities, which involve analyzing data and resolving issues within their area of responsibility
- Utilize judgment to develop programs, plans, and strategies that align with annual objectives
- Use data and analysis to demonstrate the value of a project, anticipating, and addressing objections and or concerns
- Effectively communicate and present recommendations and results across several job areas
- Interact with customers about quality issues
Additional Description
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- 4 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Experience managing and leading employees
- Ability to rotate shifts and work over-time

- 4+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Stamping experience
- Bachelor's degree
- GMS/BPD experience
- Experience working with KRONOS
