Motorsports 5-Axis CNC Machining Technician

Onsite: This position requires an employee to be on-site in Grand Blanc on a full-time basis.

The Role: The Motorsports Team in Grand Blanc is seeking a 5-Axis CNC Machining Technician, experienced with CNC machining to operate and evaluate results, investigate mechanical and electrical operational difficulties on products and/or components and recommend corrective action. As a 5-Axis CNC Machining Technician you will be responsible for producing and quality inspection of finished parts. Your experience level will provide you with access to work independently in several areas and demonstrate your knowledge, skills, and learning abilities with a nominal amount of cross training.

What You'll Do

  • Machine operation, fixture swaps and finishing to completion of inspected parts
  • Maintain part specifications by adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
  • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance (PMP) requirements
  • Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership and exploring opportunities to add value to the team

What You'll Need (Required Qualifications)

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on machining experience
  • At least 2 years of experience operating 5-axis CNC machines
  • Proficiency in 5-axis CNC setup, operation, and troubleshooting
  • Emerging partnership and teamwork skills and ability to learn from and share knowledge with co-workers in a fast-paced environment

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • 2-year college degree in Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related field/experience
  • Experience with GROB CNC machines and related software
  • Horizontal and vertical CNC machine experience
