Media Investment Strategy Assistant Manager
Description
This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Global Technical Center- Cadillac Tower three times per week, at minimum. This job may be eligible for relocation benefits.
The Media Investment Strategy Assistant Manage r will play a vital role in overseeing and optimizing paid media investments to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness. They will assist in developing and implementing strategies to drive improved ROI and enhance the impact of media investments. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align media investment strategies with overall business objectives and marketing efforts. This role requires a keen understanding of media planning and buying, performance measurement, and a proactive approach to identifying new opportunities for improvement.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing media budgets and providing allocation insights for driving efficiency.
- Conduct regular performance analysis and reporting to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Marketing Applied Science to analyze data for optimizing media investments and to efficiently achieve business objectives.
- Assist in media investment measurement and optimization activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure cohesive media investment strategy, including Newfronts and Upfronts
- Build and maintain relationships with media partners and agencies.
- Monitor competitive landscape and conduct analysis to inform strategy adjustments.
- Craft budget charts, summaries, and presentations for internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in paid media; agency and/or automotive experience preferred
- bachelor degree required
- Proven experience leading large, complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders
- Ability to effectively lead and influence a team comprised of indirect reports
- Strong presentation and communication skills, including written and oral communications - demonstrated ability to distill large sets of complex data and information down to the most actionable elements
- Ability to manage complex initiatives requiring the input of multiple stakeholders
- Ability to listen to and understand the needs of internal/external stakeholders and in turn develop thoughtful solutions
- Ability to integrate data and findings from a variety of data sources and present a holistic view of a position.
- Desire to remain current in the media space through ongoing education and skill development
- Excellent time management - the ability to effectively and efficiently use your time to focus on the most impactful activities and challenge those that distract from the identified goal
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive self-starter who can work well both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
