Logistics Buyer & AI/Machine Learning Data Analyst

Hybrid : This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren - GM Global Technical Center three times per week, at minimum or other frequency dictated by the business

Position is responsible for supporting relationship management with logistic suppliers and service providers

RESPONSIBILITIES

• AI & Machine Learning Data Analyst
• Develop, maintain models, databases, and scripts for streamlined analysis and forecasting
• Manage and consolidate data using AI, ensuring repeatable methods and a structured analytics knowledge base
• Recommend and apply analytics to meet objectives while understanding data flows and business processes
• Provide data-driven insights, validate hypotheses, and maintain dashboards and reports
• Adapt to changing priorities, handle special projects, and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Buyer Role
• Responsible for executing deliverables in support of the logistics organization's business objectives.
• Provides support to one of the key areas within Logistics and / or Containers organization to ensure business objectives are met or exceeded in all areas including customer, quality, service, responsiveness, people, product and financial initiatives.
• Communicates within the function as well as other functions, external affiliates, regulatory agencies.
• Responsible for supporting relationship management with logistic suppliers and service providers
• Influences others within the organization to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches.
• Identify problems, update or modify work methods that may be complex in the work area without the benefit of defined procedures.
• Promote GM's values and makes customer-focused decisions.
• Removing Roadblocks & Resolving Issues/Complaints: Observes and steps up to remove roadblocks and resolve potential issues.

Required:

• 2+ years relevant post-graduate work experience in computer science, AI, purchasing, supply chain, program/product management, manufacturing, logistics or product development

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI or related discipline, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, related field, or equivalent work experience
• Experience with developing AI tools for logistics companies
• Familiarity with AI logistics tools (Blue Yonder, SAP SCM, Oracle SCM)
• 2+ years of experience in data analysis
