Description
Project management for large projects for Advanced Propulsion Assembly Equipment. Work with equipment suppliers on design, build, validation and start-up of Battery Pack Equipment and Automation. Responsible for preparing AR's and SOR's. Work with purchasing to ensure quotes from OEM's are accurate and meet SOR requirements. Ensure suppliers and OEM's deliver equipment that meets all GM specifications. Facilitate ME deliverables including implementation of equipment specifications and MARO. Support prototype builds through development of the processes, tooling, and equipment all while working with product engineering to refine designs for manufacturing. Develop the production manufacturing process for new products. Design, construction, integration, plant installation, successful launch and continuous improvement of equipment and tools required in plants for the production of high quality parts. Providing technical direction to and oversight of outside vendor sources. Support implementation of GM safety specifications and equipment safety reviews. Support construction teams with specifications on building and facility requirements from OEMs. Support start-up and ramp up of manufacturing plants.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field of study. Two (2) years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer - Transmissions Machining, Jr. Manufacturing Engineer - Transmissions Assembly, Manufacturing Engineer or related occupation. Two years of experience with Development of production manufacturing process for new products; and Launch experience including GPDP, PTCs, launch wall, and master dot. One year of experience with GPS Project Management including Developing, writing, and executing SOR requirements; AutoCAD including Layout , NX, Viz-Mockup; Throughput simulations, cycle time analysis, line rebalancing; Process experience on lCE products including transmissions and engines; Design for manufacturing and automation experience including DFM and DFA; Gantry systems, robot applications, leak test, press operations and torque operation; and Experience working with Multiple OEMs including global and RESS suppliers.
