 The Role:  
 
 As a  Corporate Labor Representative  , the selected candidate will play a key role in shaping labor strategies that promote strong, positive employee relations while aligning with business objectives. This role supports  Corporate Labor Relations  initiatives related to staffing, employee movement, and workforce optimization. The candidate will analyze workforce trends and data to offer strategic recommendations that enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Collaboration is essential, as the role partners closely with HR, operations, and leadership teams to ensure alignment with labor agreements and organizational workforce goals. Additionally, the candidate will deepen their understanding of the GM-UAW labor environment, applying insights to address challenges and support informed decision-making. Participation in employee placement subcommittee planning and the 2028 National Bargaining cycle is also a key component of this role.

What You'll Do:
- Lead the Special Attrition Plan from concept to completion.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders-including Benefits, Finance, Legal, Payroll, and Plant teams-to develop processes that support agreements and ensure accurate, timely implementation.
- Develop and roll out communication and training materials to plants.
- Create and manage tracking systems to monitor progress and outcomes.
- Provide feedback and direction to improve processes and ensure alignment.
- Deliver regular updates to leadership on plan status and outcomes.
- Analyze data and provide strategic recommendations for plan administration.
- Manage the backfill process for both Other Than Skilled and Skilled employees.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within the process.
- Oversee all aspects of Temporary Employee optimization and tracking.
- Administer the quarterly Absentee Replacement Temp (ART) process, from target determination to agreement completion with the Union.
- Analyze data and develop standardized reports for Leadership and Union review.
- Recommend improvements to leadership regarding Temporary employee utilization.
- Support the Employee Placement process and become proficient in the Employee Placement System (EPS).
- Administer employee placement tasks such as postings, selections, relocation payments, and recall tracking.
- Provide data analysis and recommendations for the EPS transition to Workday.
- Participate in the 2028 National Bargaining Employee Placement subcommittee and other relevant groups.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Union partners and cross-functional business teams.
- Collaborate across departments on employee movement initiatives.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- Proficient in data analysis, with the ability to summarize complex information and present it clearly to various audiences.
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and AI tools.
- Familiarity with labor agreements and their application in a corporate setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable speaking in front of large groups and leadership teams.
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of manufacturing operations and labor relations.
- Experience working in a unionized environment.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts and processes.
- Familiarity with the GM-UAW National Agreement.
- Proficiency in internal business systems such as Workday, Kronos, and others as required.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
