Finance Manager, Software & Services Product Portfolio

Description

Software & Services Product Portfolio Finance Manager will be responsible for providing financial support to S&S Product organization, including fixed cost management and business case development & fostering partnership with Global Product Development aligning on Digital commitments. The Finance Manager will provide insightful and impactful analysis to finance leadership and business partners to drive Digital Revenue & EBIT growth & achieve cost excellence. He/she will lead a diverse team, mentoring & developing talent.

Key Responsibilities:


  • S&S product business case(s): evaluate financial viability of new products, features, services & tech enablers
  • Partner with business to establish business case framework
  • Lead financial assessment of new features / products working across enterprise (ex. SDV2.0 enterprise value, In-house Electronics Design, VIP Connectivity, etc.)
  • Consider optimal roll out, balance cost & investment with optimal monetization and go to market strategy
  • Partnership with Global Product Development / Vehicle Programs: present & educate vehicle organization on Digital strategy, Revenue & EBIT commitments
  • Translate aggregate Digital LTP commitments to each vehicle product program (The Vault)
  • Provide Digital Revenue & EBIT updates to each program at every gate, aligning on assumptions with OnStar, SSM & vehicle program finance
  • Report out at key marketing & vehicle forums (i.e. NASB, MPI, PET, VPE, etc.)
  • Support opportunity / stretch analysis (i.e. SDV2.0 SC standard workstream)
  • Lead special studies (i.e. VIP to SDV move, unique infotainment solution, architecture shift, portfolio rebalancing, etc.)
  • S&S Product fixed costs management: actuals and forecast performance, budget & LTP development
  • Partner with S&S Product business partners to optimize fixed cost spend, aligning to product vision & roadmaps
  • Work with HR & business to plan & execute organizational changes: hiring, re-structuring, moves, etc.
  • Monthly report outs to finance & business leaders

  • Act as financial go-to for S&S Product org. (day to day & strategic support) & key financial interface to Vehicle Product Programs
  • Facilitate collaboration across the enterprise to drive optimal outcomes
  • Leverage data analytics and innovative approaches to influence decision making
  • Develop tools and drive efficiencies to enable robust, yet quick decision making Manage through ambiguity, changing landscape & complex problems
  • Translate strategies into direction, prioritize based on developing business needs
  • Create a high-performance culture that is engaged, empowered, and accountable
  • Challenging and rewarding assignments
  • Develop talent through stretch assignments, leadership exposure, and feedback
  • Lead by example, demonstrating GM behaviors and a commitment to personal development.

This is a Level 8 lateral position, and only current Level 8 employees can apply at this time.

  • Location: Hybrid. This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Global HQ Warren, MI three times per week, at minimum [or other frequency dictated by the business]
