Additional Description
- Initiate and complete projects to streamline accounting operations via process simplification, standardization and/or automation.
- Perform (low risk) manual journal entries and account reconciliation
- Participate in GA and Global QA meetings to identify opportunities to streamline/simplify work. This may be one of below, but not limited to APM Policy review, MJE automation/reduction focused on high effort entries, and global QA tasks standardization
- Present the results of the project to GBS Leadership Lead/participate in GBS-wide and GA-wide engagement activities
- Collate all existing trackers from different POCs
- Understand how the trackers are being updated including pain points and inefficiencies
- Create a simplified/centralized dashboard that will reflect the Statutory team metrics
- Reduce or minimize the manual effort in updating or tracking the activities (both preparer and leads)
- Work with Continuous Improvement team and Stat POC on how to create a dashboard using the available solutions/tools
- Lead / participate in engagement activities of GBS and Statutory Reporting
- Present the results to GBS Leadership
- Create a quick guide how to use, update and navigate the dashboard
- Deploy the dashboard to Statutory team

Required skills and competencies:
- Basic accounting skills
- Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
- KNIME or any similar automation tools preferably trained LEAN, Six-sigma trained
- Leadership skills (e.g. officer in school or community organizations)
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills (i.e. with high confidence to present to top management)
- Good in problem solving
Note: Candidates must be graduating/3rd year college students of Accountancy, with internship as official undergraduate requirement, must be willing to extend internship hours if needed and work on a hybrid set-up on mid shift.
