Hybrid This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Cole Engineering Center Tower, Warren MI three times per week, at minimum [or other frequency dictated by the business]

We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven finance professional with strong analytical and technical skills. This individual will be a key finance partner to the Manufacturing Operating Staff, focusing on optimizing workforce planning and supporting the monthly forecasting process. You will implement strategic initiatives that enhance corporate profitability while collaborating with global cross-functional teams. This position offers the opportunity to build relationships with various Finance departments and Manufacturing Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and timely review of workforce planning material with Senior Finance and Manufacturing leaders
  • Proactively analyze business results (vs. forecast, budget and prior year) to identify trends, risks and optimize business results
  • Apply financial analysis tools and work experiences to influence current and future profitability (e.g. financial models, business cases, run rate, advanced data analytics)
  • Prepare reporting package with insight for monthly operating review and /or Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), anticipating logical questions based on content
  • Operate autonomously, where ambiguity and time constraints exist
  • Support the budget and LTP development. Analyze trends to establish bold yet achievable targets
  • Lead financial analysis as a member of cross functional teams (e.g. Automation, new business opportunity)
  • Provide coaching / mentorship to new employees / interns
  • Effectively communicate financial performance and results of analysis performed to Senior Finance Leadership and key business partners anticipating questions
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to grow (e.g. develops new skills, attend training opportunities, network, feedback)

Additional Description

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree: business, accounting, finance, economics or related
  • 2+ years of experience in finance or accounting
  • High level of oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills and technical aptitude
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with various groups
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and a high level of initiative
  • High degree of proficiency with excel, including formulas & functions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Knime
