This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Ramos Arizpe- Coahuila three times per week, at minimum or other frequency dictated by the business

This is for a Product Cost & Inventory role under the GBS organization. The successful candidate will be responsible to develop business strategy and to build out analytics roadmaps. Identify and drive resolution for accounting or control-related issues within their area and leads process improvements and innovations to streamline existing process. Continuous Improvement mindset and able to translate it to projects. Ensure that processing is done with high quality - accurate, timely and complete, following the accounting policy manuals. Work closely with various business contacts to align and resolve business requirements.

Additional Description

Responsibilities:

  • Train of trainers in Knime, Power BI, VBA, Power Query, Python
  • CDAO MX forum support related Knime tool
  • Drive timely and highly effective decision-making through the development and utilization of advanced data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence tools
  • Guide and mentor impactful Data Analytics Projects thru OPEX projects: Support to execute projects that involve high quantity of data, optimize processes and operations and enhance analysis and visualization of information
  • Proactively identify and resolve data quality issues, ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Maintain clear communication with all project team members and stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest BI tools, technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
  • Foster a cultural change to embrace data-driven decision making
  • Ensures compliance with GM Corporate policies and external regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's of Systems Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics or any related
  • Required experience in similar position: 2 or more years
  • English proficiency oral and written

-Key Skills:

  • Big data analysis
  • Skills in tools such as Power BI, Power App, sharepoints
  • Skills in data programming software such as Knime, Python
  • Strong communication and written skills
  • Interpersonal skills / Teamwork
  • Knowledge and understanding of Corporate policies and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Accounting or financial process knowledge will be a plus since this position will support finance transformation and modernization initiatives
