Our team - Advanced camera technologies is developing a deeply integrated vehicle camera services for millions of GM production cars.
Our target is to understand the scene both in and out of the car and transform this understanding to features and views that the driver can use.

In this role, of staff visualization engineer in a computer vision engineering team, you will be working on create visualizations for the car driver using a GPU. These views will integrate the cameras inputs and the understanding we gain on the car surroundings.
This role requires experience in developing in OpenGL or Nvidia Vulkan with experience of working in C++, as well as an ability to research and use emerging technologies to solve performance issues and create new business opportunities.
You will have a comprehensive responsibility from POC level, design, implementation, and test, all the way to production deployment and customer launch. You will also Explore new technologies and software designs.
What will you do?
- Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects.
- Influence and coach a distributed team of engineers.
- Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large scale software solutions.

Additional Description
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development
- 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
- 3 years of experience with visualization
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 5 years of experience with GPU based visualization. Experience in OpenGL/Nvidia Vulcan.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role and setting technical direction.
- Solid background in computer vision
