Work Arrangement:
This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the GM Tech Center in Warren, MI on a full-time basis.
The Role:

We're looking for an Assistant Studio Manager who excels in logistics and operations while thoughtfully collaborating with teams ranging from passionate Creative Designers to analytically minded Program Managers.
The Assistant Studio Manager plays a key role in supporting the operations of Design Studios by serving as a liaison between the studios and various support teams, including Safety, Maintenance, Facilities, Materials Handling, and Event Coordination. This role also involves coordinating activities that may require support from Program Management, Design, Clay Sculpting, Digital Sculpting, and Engineering to ensure seamless workflow and execution. Additionally, the Studio Coordinator actively participates in Studio Safety Observation Tours (SOT), contributing to the ongoing safety and efficiency of the studio environment.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
- Single point of contact for the Design Studio operations
- Supports various program and studio reviews by coordinating with key stakeholders to execute to requirements (i.e. conference rooms, display boards, properties, AV equipment, etc.)
- Initiate, track, coordinate and manage requests to support the studios (i.e. shipping for studios, supplies, clay and clay cleanup, equipment needs, work orders, maintenance, and other studio related facilities action items
- Work with studio safety champion to coordinate necessary work with Facilities, Safety and Studio Teams
- Monitors safety related storage of studio art materials, adhesives and cleaners. Coordinates replenishment of studio art materials
Additional Description
Yours Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- 2+ years' experience coordinating complex logistics, schedules, and stakeholder communications in fast-paced environments such as design studios, corporate operations, manufacturing, logistics or executive support roles
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Ability to develop creative and innovative solutions to problems
- Ability to deal with ambiguity but drive clarity to cross functional team members
- Ability to act with a sense of urgency and remain calm under pressure
- Ability to manage timing of multiple deliverables at one time
- Demonstratable look-ahead skills to anticipate studio needs
- High degree of organizational skills and attention to details
- Work independently, take initiative and complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Team building and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility with changing work hours when required
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in working with UAW resources and understanding of labor agreements
