Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to our innovation center in Austin three times per week, at minimum or other frequency dictated by the business.

The Role

As part of the Marketing Technology Platform team, the Adobe Campaign and Experience Platform Developer have a key role for enabling the design, development, deployment and operations of world-class modern marketing capabilities at General Motors. This role enables General Motors marketing strategies with the use of Marketing technology. This role provides the platform configuration, automation and data to allow the Marketers to execute personalized, multi-channel activations, focusing on data-driven customer experiences.

This role requires a self-starter, with expertise in marketing technology, focused on Adobe Campaign and the Experience Platform, with experience in the data capture and data architecture that enable these platforms. We are looking for a developer who can work closely with product and data managers, marketers, and other technical resources to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Enable Campaign design and execution within Adobe Campaign, including data management, technical workflows, and activation flows.
  • Integrate Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) with other systems and data sources, manage data ingestion processes, and ensure data flow for activation
  • Develop using scripting languages like JavaScript and SQL for customization, dynamic content, and data manipulation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to campaign execution, data mismatches, and delivery problems.
  • Ensure the solutions conform to architectural requirements such as scalability, maintainability, reliability, extensibility, usability, and security.
  • Collaborate with Adobe representatives and partners to stay updated on platform enhancements and new features as well as evaluating and recommending Platform add-ons and extensions to provide more value to our business.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business leads, product managers, developers, and data engineering, to ensure alignment.
  • Provides guidance, coaching and/or training to other team members on Adobe AEP and Campaign concepts and best practices as appropriate.
  • Holds themselves and others accountable for demonstrating GMs values and cultural behaviors. Models GM behaviors and creates a winning culture.

Yours Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • 2+ years of experience developing solutions for Adobe Campaign and Adobe Experience Platform.
  • Strong knowledge of software development principles, methodologies, and best practices in an Agile delivery model.
  • Expertise in JavaScript and/or SQL, and potentially Python for customization and data management
  • Familiarity with XML, and RESTful APIs for content creation and system integration
  • Knowledge of data architecture, data quality management, and ETL processes
  • Understanding of digital marketing, customer segmentation, and customer journey management
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Relevant Adobe certifications are a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline
