The Role:
As an Active Chassis Diagnostic Strategist you will be responsible to lead a group of calibration engineers and engineering support personnel in the calibration development and verification of diagnostics for active chassis controls on multiple product programs.

The features to be developed and calibrated generally fall into two areas:
- Brake / Chassis Controls Diagnostics (Stability Control, Traction Control, Antilock Brakes, Rollover Mitigation, etc.)
- Vehicle Motion Control Diagnostics (AWD, torque vectoring,etc.)
The Active Chassis Diagnostic Strategist will work to deliver confident and exciting chassis controls performance on the innovative vehicles that will define the next generation of GM's future.
Work is accomplished through both testing and collaboration with team members. Testing is completed in vehicle work, and vehicle simulation environments, Software In the Loop, Hardware In the Loop benches, Driver In the Loop simulators and driveline dynos. Calibrators will accomplish this work among a collaborative team of chassis calibrators, propulsion calibrators, algorithm specialists, HIL engineers, system feature owners and performance engineers.
What You'll do:
- Coordinate the development plans to meet diagnostic requirements for all Regions of sale
- Lead standardized in-vehicle engine calibration work execution
- Develop and assemble calibrations, working in concert with Calibration Specialists, DRE's and Platform Engineers
- Coordinate the testing of systems for compliance to Regulations
- Manage production issues, warranty and JD Powers improvement
- Design and manage key strategic interfaces within systems to enable component reuse and adherence to best practices
- Provide support to other engineers for root cause analysis
Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- 3+ years calibration experience.
- Demonstrated expert with complex system functions, specifically controls and related vehicle performance interactions.
- Expertise with INCA/ETAS/CRETA/vCDM and other calibration tools.
- A valid driver's license is required and ability to operate and subjectively evaluate performance of test vehicles.
- Ability to travel as needed to support program workload.
