Key Responsibilities

Labour Relations:

  • Promote a positive working relationship with our Union partners
  • Maintain records in Workday (HRIS) pertinent to Labour Relations
  • Assist in the administration of the Attendance Management Program
  • Perform ad hoc and standardized data reporting
  • Assist in the documentation of Labour Relation processes
  • Support WSIB Case Manager with data reporting/administrative excellence
  • Responsible for ensuring data accuracy in Workday (HRIS) - perform daily updates
  • Maintain Medical Restriction information
  • Frequent involvement with other stakeholders (i.e. Benefits, Payroll, Sun Life, IT, etc.) regarding employee issues, downstream data problems, or other pertinent matters
  • Assist with employee placement process (accommodations)
  • Generate ad hoc reports
  • Administrative tasks, as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a Human Resources, Business, Commerce, or related degree Co-Op program, and in your 3rd or 4th year of study (experienced 2nd year and eligible Master students will be considered)
  • Must be eligible to work full-time (40 hours per week) in Canada and for 8, 12, or 16 months work term (2-4 consecutive semesters, longer term preferred) starting September 2025
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Highly adaptable and able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Fundamental computer skills including working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
