VDI Systems Engineer

HOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER EXPERT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
● Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems
● Handle escalated user issues from service desk/desktop support teams

● Demonstrates high responsiveness for technology issues, security compliance and SLA attainment

● Drives problems to root cause through partnership with engineers, ensuring knowledge is captured for future events

Designs, plans and implements high-availability core infrastructure systems
● Develops Software configuration management standards and performs data de-identification and provisioning

● Documents and tracks hardware and software configuration, migration, testing and deployment solutions

● Have a strong background in Citrix, XenDesktop, Desktop Delivery Controllers(DDC's), VMWARE, ESXi, Windows Operating Systems

● Ideal candidate would have experience working in large scale infrastructure

● User support of enterprise level environment hosting hundreds of thousands virtual desktops published via Citrix XenDesktop with VMware as hypervisor

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
● Required Experience: 15+ years of related experience
● Required Technical Skills:

  • Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
  • Windows Server
  • VMware
  • Networking
  • Active Directory
  • PowerShell
  • Hyper-V
  • Security best practices
  • Performance tuning
  • Troubleshooting

● Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI w/Poly
● Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong Windows troubleshooting ability
  • Proven expertise in managing and optimizing Citrix VDI environments.
  • Strong understanding of networking, storage, and virtualization concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work on call

● Certification: DoD 8570 IAT Level II certified

The likely salary range for this position is $161,158 - $186,300. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
