Engineering Technician I

This technician performs simple routine tasks under close supervision, detailed procedures or blueprints This person performs one or a combination of such typical duties as:

• Simple fabrication of parts and assemblies using hand and power tools such as saws, drill presses and milling machines.

• Performing simple or routine tasks to operate and repair manufacturing machines or testing equipment

• Organizing parts and material as required to support mechanical production

Required Skills and Abilities:

Interpretation of blueprints, sketches and shop drawings

Ability to operate power and hand tools

Ability to operate saws, drill presses, milling machines

Understanding of shop math

Ability to work on special projects as required

Able to lift 50 pounds or more on daily basis

Associates Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience.

1+ years of related experience

Must be a US Citizen or US National

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $17.85 - $24.15. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
