Head and Neck Cancer (HNC) is a group of cancers that are categorized by anatomical location including the nasopharynx, oral cavity, lip, pharynx, larynx, paranasal sinuses, and nasal cavity. Join our team of skilled surgeons and advanced practice providers along with compassionate support staff to provide exceptional care for this patient population.
Job Duties
Position Overview:
This job is primarily clinic based with no weekends or holidays. The position will involve a comprehensive onboarding process focused on building skill sets and becoming familiar with the subspecialties within ENT including head and neck cancer, otology, pediatrics, laryngology and rhinology.
Upon completion of onboarding this position will focus on providing ENT care to head and neck cancer patients in an outpatient setting in conjunction with our established team of ENT head and neck providers.
This position includes being involved in multidisciplinary team (MDCT) discussions that include specialties such as ENT surgery, pathology, radiology, speech therapy, radiation oncology and medical oncology.
Opportunities of this position include professional growth, ability to perform common ENT procedures such as nasal endoscopy, flexible laryngoscopy, microscopy and other minor in-office procedures including biopsies and drain removals. Other opportunities include weekly educational conferences offering CME credits, a chance to expand individual procedure skills, ability to assist in surgeries if desired, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct patient evaluations, obtain history and physical exams.
Diagnose and manage ENT conditions.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests including imaging, labs, and audiograms.
Perform in office procedures.
Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications.
Educate patients and families on medical conditions and treatment plans.
Coordinate care with other medical specialties.
