Responsibilities & Requirements
  • Experience working as an Infrastructure, Middleware, DevOps engineer on Linux, Windows Operating Systems
  • Experience with installation, configuration, administration of Web Servers, Application Servers (Apache, JBoss EAP, WildFly, Apache Tomcat, IIS, Dot-Net, WebSphere)
  • Automation scripting experience with a couple or more programming languages like Python, PowerShell, Linux Shell, Ansible, Puppet and knowledge on SQL queries, Java, dotNet
  • Advanced hands on experience working with Terraform and Kubernetes
  • Experience on configuration and administration on messaging systems - IBM MQ, ActiveMQ, Apache Kafka
  • Advanced understanding of DevOps, Cloud concepts (Azure DevOps framework), experience & knowledge with Enterprise Cloud platforms, enterprise data center technologies including storage platforms, networks, security infrastructure
  • Understanding of Security Protocols & Products: Active Directory, Windows Authentication, SAML, OAuth
  • Collaborate, support, work with Managed cloud vendor, coordinate with GEICO teams to support daily operations, releases, Disaster Recovery exercises.
  • Knowledge on DNS resolution, subnet masking, firewall concepts, processes; support & work with N/W team, Managed Cloud partner team, internal teams with the firewall requests, including providing guidance on requests and connection validations
  • Determines systems software design requirements, ensures system/applications improvements are successfully implemented and monitored for better efficiency
  • Support triage calls at a tier 2 level with good technical problem solving, analytical skills, logical thinking to provide resolutions to a diverse range of complex issues & ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Understand System design architecture, design patterns of current and future systems
  • Experience in analyzing, monitoring applications, systems with monitoring tools - DynaTrace, Sentry, Splunk, Grafana, Loki, similar tools.
  • Advanced hands-on experience creating Grafana operational dashboards, data visualization using Grafana
  • Experience with software tools - Microsoft ADO, Sharepoint, PowerBI, Helix, Confluence or similar
  • Provide 24/7 operations support for production, other critical environments, DevOps multi-tasking and with clear communication skills
  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire software lifecycle.
  • Build resilient services for extending and improving DevOps capabilities.
  • Mentor other engineers, consistently share best practices and improve processes within and across teams.
Experience

5+ years of professional software, system architecture & design, data analytics engineering experience

2+ years of experience with data visualization tools

2+ years of experience on Cloud platform - Azure, AWS, hybrid data center

2+ years of experience in open-source frameworks

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience

Annual Salary
$72,000.00 - $185,000.00
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
