GEICO's Procurement is seeking an experienced Director to establish effective governance over GEICO's supplier partnerships. This role is essential to the successful delivery of key cost, risk, and performance management-related efforts for third-party relationships leveraged by their line of business, in addition to identifying strategic opportunities for growth and/or greater return on investment. Primary focus will be oversight of GEICO's highest tiered suppliers based on risk, spend, and complexity.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead a team of high performing Supplier and Sourcing Managers that consistently delivers value for GEICO lines of business
- Works closely with internal leadership establishing and maintaining relationships with internal business partners to ensure products and services align with Geico's information security protocols and domain target architectures
- Implement value-generating opportunities (e.g., savings, efficiencies, or revenue growth) within supplier engagements, licensing models, or services
- Comfortable driving GEICO lines of business to leverage sourcing resources to build leverage with GEICO suppliers and deliver more favorable pricing and contract terms
- Partner with internal risk groups to ensure third party relationships are compliant with all relevant policies and procedures
- Drive processes that result in the successful monitoring and delivery against third party contractual obligations, including management of SLAs, True-ups, notification windows, etc.
- Lead development and execution of policy requirements for managed third-party relationships

- Bachelor's degree or military experience preferred
- Strong people leadership, problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
- Proven track record of identifying and implementing improvements to business processes
- Experience negotiating contracts and delivering as a point of escalation
- Experience with ensuring customer requirements are met by your organization
- Experience communicating with Executive management and responding to their inquiries and requests
- Excellent communication and time management skills; able to deliver complex messaging and topics with peers, direct reports and Executive leadership
- Provide problem-solving and innovative ideas to support internal customers
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate with vendors to more effectively position GEICO to receive the best value proposals for the corporation
- 4-year degree with Finance, Business Administration, or Supplier Management major
- Leadership experience with a large firm with a mature Supplier Management/Procurement function
- Experience with contract management systems and WorkDay
Annual Salary
$127,000.00 - $207,000.00
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
