The Digital Operations leader for all GE Aerospace sites in China. Responsible for managing information technology including all IT infrastructure & software applications necessary for shop operations. Will be responsible for performance & availability of IT infrastructure & applications as well as partnership with the business enabling process transformation.

Job Description

The DT Operations Leader China role will report to the ATMRO DT Technology and Operations leader of GE Aerospace's Commercial Engines & Services (CES) business.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ensure stable operations , infra and local applications , for multiple Aerospace sites in China. Partner closely with the SMO & CTO organizations to establish new operations requirements as we transition operational support to GE Aerospace.
  • Ensure compliance with all cyber & regulatory requirements, including (but not limited to) SOX, CMMC, CAAC, FAA, EASA, and GE's Internal Audit organization as applicable.
  • Be willing to travel at various locations to build relationships and be present at genba to understand the utilization of technology through the eyes of internal customers in the shops.
  • Partner with the ATMRO team on improvements to SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost) and the development and introduction of new technologies to unlock productivity.
  • Ensure the smooth transition of Aerospace site through separation programs. Partner closely with Separation office, the CTO organization, and the Cyber Security team to ensure the deployment of new technology solutions tied to the GE separation are done in a secure & compliant manner with minimal disruption to the site operations.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), or business-related degree program •
  • 12 years relevant leadership experience in Digital Technology.
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in Technical Program Management

Desired Characteristics:

Technical Expertise:

  • Hands-on experience in 24x7x365 technical operations
  • Experienced in design, performance, availability, and scalability of the infrastructure
  • Demonstrated understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles (e.g., green belt certified)
  • Experience on ERP platforms will be an added advantage.

Business Acumen:

  • Knowledge of Aviation domain.
  • Knowledge of business and financial principles and practices
  • Demonstrated ability to manage team/product operations within own budget
  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects based on business strategies and customer requirements
  • Demonstrated customer focus - manages technical issues in complex, difficult, or stressful situations; evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer; builds strong customer relationships and creates processes with customer viewpoint
  • Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts

Leadership:

  • Influences Executive band employees and below on their decisions.
  • Experience providing feedback on performance toward goals
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing team members
  • Ability to proactively identify and remove obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team
  • Ability to take ownership of projects and deliver while mentoring and helping team
  • Demonstrated experience influencing across a complex, global matrix organization
