Job Description Summary

As a member of the Finance DT Organization, the Principal Solutions Architect - Oracle EPM, MDM is responsible for the EPM suite of software products as a technical design expert in multiple domains. Will work on enterprise-wide software initiatives that require in-depth domain knowledge in multiple specialized architecture areas. This role focuses on all areas of Enterprise Performance Management including the Oracle Hyperion suite.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • As a Principal Solutions Architect, you will play a crucial role in leading and ensuring the current Oracle EPM on-premise application footprint is optimized within EPM and interdependent systems. Role will also have key leadership and input to the roadmap, design and architecture for driving GE Aerospace fit-for-purpose EPM solution including EDM, FCC, PBCS applications and related modules (essentially Oracle EPM Cloud). Scope includes ensuring seamless integration of upstream and downstream system dependencies (for reporting/other purposes) as well as master data management to the Finance ecosystem - EPM, ERP and other reliant systems.

Essential responsibilities include:

  • Design and develop end-to-end Oracle Hyperion EPM solutions according to business requirements.
  • Design, configure, and implement robust EPM solutions including Hyperion DRM, EDM, Financial Management (HFM), FCC, Planning, PBCS, FDMEE, Data Management and related modules required for consolidations, planning and financial reporting.
  • Ability to develop, implement and maintain EPM modules and business process flows.
  • Manage end-to-end system development lifecycle including testing, deployment, and documentation.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting to resolve system issues, ensuring optimal system performance and stability. Including coordinating resolution through both internal and external technical support providers.
  • Research application and service logs to troubleshoot application issues.
  • Identify required software quality standards and delivery models.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize system performance and efficiency. Including spearheading efforts to analyze existing processes to identify risks and automation opportunities.
  • Collaborate with developers and operational support across a distributed, global landscape.
  • Clearly communicates by delivering audience-appropriate information and insights spanning.
  • Readily partners with stakeholders to gather requirements, perform gap analysis, create functional specifications, documentation of technical solutions and authoring test scripts as needed.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and Oracle Hyperion EPM best practices, ensuring the EPM landscape is aligned with evolving needs and innovative technology offerings.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle's EPM products and data integration tools in both implementation and support
  • Sound knowledge of EPM Cloud (EDM, FCC, PBCS and related modules, DM)
  • In-depth understanding of principles related to finance accounting and planning, including corporate month end close - consolidation, translation, elimination, and financial reporting activities as well as planning, forecasting and management reporting processes and master data management
  • Proven expertise of Oracle Hyperion EPM system architecture, security environments, and interface technologies
  • Proficient in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), SQL, and Oracle relational databases
  • Demonstrated experience managing and leading complex EPM implementation projects - navigating dependencies of multiple initiatives that will impact the application landscape.
