Role Overview
In this role, the Powerplant Engineering will have the following responsibilities:
- Engine configuration management, validation/verification of any part substitutions.
- Focus on changes in router structure.
- Routers management for new capabilities and workscopes.
- Assure all incoming documentation are verified and available for an engine shop visit.
- Manage technical questions regarding the engine, workscope, tooling, consumables, configuration, and capability.
- Work to determine/recommend alternate solutions.
- Determine/recommend departure record corrective actions to eliminate future departure records.
- Clarify manual /repair requirements.
- Support change of equipment notifications approval (SAP Function).
- Work with the planning team for shop repairs (Y1) and field jobs (Y3).
- Interact with technicians on general inquiries.
- Submit Departure records for any defects found during maintenance.

In addition, the On-Wing Support Powerplant Engineer will:
- Collaborate with cross functional and global teams to assure the engine meets or exceeds all requirements.
- Work together with the Global Engineering team, working closely on the OWS standardization throughout all global sites.
- Be willing to speak up even if their opinion goes against the current practice.
- Show creativity in seeking solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in relevant Aviation Engineering desired but not essential.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with engine maintenance, Part 145 environment.
- Availability to work flexible shift patterns as required, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Ability and willingness to support calls during off-hours when emergency situations arise.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong communication skills and problem-solving ability are a must.
- Act with humility, transparency and be humble to learn.
- Possess a desire to learn and grow with technology advancements and new engine models.
- Features strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including problem-solving ability
- Holding previous LEAP, GE90, CFM, CF6, and GENX experience and international field experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction skills
- Strong understanding of Human Factor limitations.
