The NPI Manufacturing Engineer Internship will support the shop Repair Activities in pursuing the industrialization of New Repair Processes. As Manufacturing Engineer Intern you will support the industrialization process of the Repair of the new Components.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Support the shop activities in order to solve technical problems related to the Components in house for Repair, also with the support of the Type Certification Holder in case of deviation
  • Update Shop Documentation in accordance to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Documentation issues like as Engine Shop Manuals, Service Bulletins (SB), Airworthiness Directives (AD), Standard Practices Manual (SPM)
  • Relate to OEM for Technical Support, Deviations, Publications anomalies, etc.
  • Prepare and Issue Technical Instruction in the form of Operation/Process Cards
  • Evaluate effects of applicable Technical Instruction on Shop Activities and on Equipment and Tooling facilities in order to plan improvements and acquisition.
  • Support analysis and actions for Processes/Cycles improvements and Tooling, Equipment and Facilities Implementation/Acquisition finalized to Productivity and Cost Reduction
  • Define Tooling and Equipment Specification i.a.w. Engine Shop Manual and/or other specific reference documents
  • Design, Develop and Industrialize New Repair schemes on the basis of the evaluation of the evidences coming from the CRO Shop, in collaboration with the Component Design Engineering teams and provide rationale for the request of approval to the Type Certification Holder
  • Provide basic specification for the Tooling, Equipment and Machinery necessary for the industrialization of the Repair Schemes

Qualification/Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering from an accredited University (Mechanical/Aeronautical Degree is preferred)
  • Ability to read Manufacturing Drawings
  • Ability to design by using a CAD System
  • Fluent Italian and good English Knowledge
  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required

Desired Characteristics

  • Knowledge of Aero Engines Component Repair Processes and Component Maintenance Documentation
  • Knowledge of basic Statistical Analysis Tools
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skill
