Job Description Summary
As a Field Service Technician, you will provide direction and assistance to work group to meet assigned objectives. You will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the R391 (C130) Composite Propeller System and related components at a customer site.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Hands on repair and maintenance of Composite Propeller System and related components
- Provide general technical direction and assistance to the customer in the operation, maintenance, repair and installation of GE products
- Provide on-site interpretation of data and technical instruction
- Provide Project Engineering, Program Management and Field Service management with complete and prompt information regarding status of programs, customer problems, failures, trends, and climate
- Provide communication to Product Support and Field Service regarding all program activities and problems through regular, timely reports
- Assist the team in scheduling maintenance and workload
- Assist in ensuring parts meet established schedules
- Make recommendations on findings
- Review effectiveness of maintenance actions to identify training needs
- Anticipate requirements beyond those that immediately affect the program and assist in implementing actions to satisfy those requirements
- Perform intermediate and depot level maintenance
- Assist in ensuring tools meet required calibration schedules
- General housekeeping and adhering to shop requirements
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field or High School Diploma with proven experience in manufacturing in the aviation field
- Proven experience in performing extensive repairs as well as maintenance and repair work on engines and/or propeller systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Fluent Italian and English knowledge
- Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
