Validation Engineer

Épinal, France

We have an exciting new opening for a Validation Engineer for our e-Boosting Products. You'll be given the opportunity to develop next-generation products and technologies for the automotive industry.

As an Individual Contributor in the Electrification Center of Excellence and reporting to the Product Validation Manager, the e-Boosting Validation Engineer, drive and support the following activities:

• Analyze customer requirements and specifications.

• Work and support on RFQ/RFI and other bidding activities.

• Create and manage a validation plan (DVP&R, PVP&R, end of line) of Garrett products.

• Contact external laboratories and partners.

• Analyze external lab report and create an internal/executive summary.

• Organize part logistics (pre-test, post-test, intermediate verification).

• Formalize test results in the requirement management tool (e.g., Polarion, PTC Integrity, Doors, Jama, etc.).

• Organize test reviews.

• Create post-test analysis template.

• Troubleshoot and commission parts prior to testing.

We are looking for a new colleague that has:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, Computer, Mechanical or System Engineering.

• 4+ years of experience in Validation, focused on environmental, electrical and hardware testing in the AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY. Attention: profiles that do not match this requirement will not be considered.

• Fluent in English

• Testing plan creation

• Understanding of automotive validation/testing routines, terminology, and environment

In addition to the previous qualifications, the ideal candidate will also have:

• Master's Degree in Engineering

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

• Previous experience with high-speed motors and inverters.

• Knowledge of communication protocols and tools (CAN, LIN, XCP, CANApe, CANoe, INCA, etc.).

• Strong fundamentals in electrical and general engineering.

• Understanding of Automotive standards is preferred

O LV-123 / VDA-320 Automotive high voltage / 48V

O ISO 16750 / LV-124 Electrical component validation
