- Responsible for the coordination of prototype operations, program management, quality and SIOP to deliver all program commitments globally;
- Ensure strong coordination with other Engineering and site Sr Managers, focusing on prototype build, cost, cycle time and customer satisfaction.
- Report results in weekly and monthly meetings.
- Develop and manage a base of prototype suppliers.
- Pilot supplier action plans to improve quality, delivery rate and costs with his/her procurement manager.
Responsible for managing prototype schedules, SIOP, MPS (Master plan schedule) adherence and attainment. - Manage all aspects of safety and health / Ensure corrective and preventive maintenance of prototype workshop equipment. Analyzed the capabilities of prototype workshops to ensure alignment with prototype requests
- Defines capital requirements and ensures that investments are made in line with budgets.
- Anticipate the development of means and the introduction of new equipment in order to cope with new technologies.
- Ensure a standard in the prototype workshop , standard operating sheets.
- Contribute to the site's and proto organization continuous improvement process by proposing and implementing Kaizen ideas.
- Drive force in the use of GEM tools (SMED, Kaizen, Escalation,5whys .) and leads at least one improvement project (GEM) per year.
- Participate in the HSE and Energy Management System through the site's HSE and Energy policies and the site's annual commitments in terms of health, safety, environment and energy
- Manages directly Prototype planning leader, Prototype procurement leader, prototype shop floor leader, prototype quality supervisor .
- Responsible for HPD assessment & interviews for their direct reports (MRR, PDS, etc), development plans and performance improvement plans and corrective actions as appropriate, as well as providing feedback to matrix Team members.
- Drive ISC Proto skills development within the Team. Drive required actions to retain and attract key talents within the team.
- Plan Team objectives and drive activities within overall budget and schedule. Actively take part on STRAP definition, AOP planning. Capex management.
- Ensure strong coordination with other Engineering and site Sr Managers, focusing on prototype build, cost, cycle time and customer satisfaction.
- Assure financial performance & management of its organization , as per proto site AOP target for Revenue / Material Cost / Labor & Overhead / Inventory / Capex / Conversion cost.
