The Software Testing Manager is accountable for developing a software testing environments and tests to verify software work product for Garrett Electric products.
He/she is responsible for the driving and controlling the test capabilities needed for test environment design of software test frameworks to enable the verification and validation of functional and non-functional Electric product requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Understand the industry trend and familiar with automotive software technologies, Define best-in-class performance target, define all elements required to achieve the goals (Methods, Technology, processes, skills, tools...)
- Define and align the Software testing roadmaps with other functions (SW, HW, Motor, Products, Labs) and Leadership, drive and track progress cross-functionally.
- Own and develop the software testing capabilities at different test levels: Static, Unit, MIL/SIL, integration, validation (HIL) and virtual ECU to meet Garrett and Customer needs including Bid and launch projects.
- Support the software requirements reviews and Implement software tests to validate given requirements
- Handle estimations, planning and monitoring.
- Responsible for software testing reviews.
- Establish standardized testing procedures and engineering practices for ensuring consistency and process adherence across all electrification programs.
- Contribute to the improvement of our test infrastructure and frameworks by building tools, processes, automation, and adoption of new testing technologies.
- Manage team activities, priorities, assignment, skills & training, process compliance, project reviews
- Responsible for performance assessment & interviews for their direct reports, development plans and performance improvement plans and corrective actions as appropriate.

Your profile:
- Master degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Robust automotive software testing work experience
- Relevant people management experiences
- Excellent understanding of embedded systems and software architecture.
- Strong experience with different "In-Loop" XIL test methodologies, such as: Model-In-Loop (MIL), Processors-In-Loop (PIL), Software-In-Loop (SIL), Hardware-In-Loop (HIL), Virtual ECU
- Strong capabilities in relation to integration, implementation, and the automation of test frameworks with a customer-centric approach.
- Very good experience in test case development, test execution (manual & automation), Test result analysis, debugging and defect logging.
- Very good experience of setting up a test bench, and debugging skills
- Demonstrated bias for action/initiative, customer focus, and a strong capability to lead in a team environment.
Nice to haves:
- Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment with exposure to GIT, CI/CD and Jira.
- Experience in any one of scripting language (python/capl etc.,)
- Experience in CANoe, CANalyzer, CANape, Trace32, DSPACE, VEOS and NI tools
- Experience in ASPICE, Automotive Safety Standard ISO 26262, Cyber Security Standard ISO 21434.
