The HR Manager implements Garrett People Strategy in the manufacturing site and in other functions in the country, with the objective to ensure well motivated and well qualified workforce to deliver business results. Ensures achieving HR strategic as well as operational goals and targets.

Acts as the HR partner of plant manager to build an innovative, performance-driven, dynamic and high-impact organization; is member of plant leadership team.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develops the HR organization, process, system and infrastructure to ensure operational excellence in HR processes and a robust HR governance framework
  • Drives a performance management culture which continually seeks to raise the bar
  • Creates, modifies and/ or implements all HR related procedures regarding staffing, training, hiring, compensation, disciplinary, payroll, time and attendance etc.
  • Responsible for implementing company values in the entire organization
  • Responsible for setting up the AOP budgets on salaries, training, benefits (labor cost)
  • Analyzes the company training needs, develops annual training plan, approves training proposals received from other departments
  • Together with plant manager/ department managers analyzes and identifies people requirements within a given business area and coordinates/ contributes to the design, development and implementation of organizational changes
  • Develops, together with business partners and COEs, the different staffing and workforce flexibility strategies;
  • Responsible for University Relations for the plant and other functions, partners with staffing COE on all UR activities;
  • Coordinates the recruitment process through HRGs and staffing COE
  • Makes recommendations regarding salary offers, promotional increases, bonuses and validates them according with Garrett procedures
  • Develops employee reward and recognition policy and follows its implementation
  • Coordinates and continuously improves employee engagement; company culture; working environment with respect to diversity and inclusion; internal and external communications
  • Drives and manages MOS in LER; drives information, consultation, negotiation processes with Plant Manager
  • Designs, implements and supports annual appraisal process for below band 2 employees
  • Prepares and presents the management resource review
  • Responsible for organizational development for each of the GEM phases in the plant
  • Contributes actively to continuously improve plant performance: consistently identifies opportunities to eliminate losses and proposes solutions for the improvement of their own activities and of the plant.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or above
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in HR related areas, experience in manufacturing environment essential
  • Previous relevant experience with advanced production management tools (Continuous Improvement, Visual Factory, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma)
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in people management
  • Successful track record of initiating People strategies to support business growth
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills with people of different backgrounds; global mindset and ability to operate in a multicultural environment
