Work directly with suppliers to satisfy Garrett Advancing Motion's quality standards and strategy, and replenishment initiatives in the manufacture of components
You will interact with all levels of the Garrett Advancing Motion Organization
As Garrett Advancing Motion's point of contact within the supply base, you will travel within your assigned geographical area, in support of a variety of supplier oversight functions, spending a majority of your time at supplier facilities
YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor's degree

• Hands-on experience with quality assurance processes
• Experience leading teams focused on problem solving and driving supplier improvements using Six Sigma tools

• Excellent organizational and project management skills
• Good negotiation skills and experience in developing win-win relationships with suppliers
• High level of interpersonal skills is required to handle difficult situations as well as to diffuse interpersonal conflict effectively
• Strong understanding of Quality engineering practices
• Trained in Six Sigma / Lean techniques
• Current ASQ CQA or CQE certification is highly desirable, as is an RAB auditor accreditation
Properly interpret and enforce all applicable purchase order requirements
Evaluate supplier systems and conduct gap analysis where required
Prepare and present metrics associated with quality trends and related improvements within the supply base
Provide technical leadership to coordinate implementation of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing through advanced quality processes including statistically based variation reduction, control planning, mistake proofing, and Process Control
Process large quantities of information and determine critical needs, to develop solutions that alleviate barriers and meet the needs of internal and external customers
Develop strong partnership with suppliers in regard to their commitment to Garrett Advancing Motion projects, timing and measurement of results
Develop the assigned suppliers, using improvement tools (process control, error proofing, etc) to meet the Garrett Advancing Motion goals of zero disruptions, on time delivery and effective PO management
