JOB DESCRIPTION

Cleaning, stocking, and supplying designated Press facility areas (with tape, press wash, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning Units and Folders...etc.) Performing and documenting routine inspection and maintenance activities. Carry out various cleaning tasks and, as requested, assist in specific duties of pressroom.

• Clean ink hose
• Clean ink rails
• Clean walkways and upper decks
• Clean the inside and outside of deck superstructure
• Clean the inside and outside of reel superstructure
• General clean up

WORK/Physical REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to reach all press surfaces to be cleaned
• Requires crawling into some tight spots and kneeling as well as climbing ladders
• Ability to use both hands
• Ability to stand for most of a shift
• Ability to withstand contact with soaps and chemical cleaners
• Ability to lifts and carry up to 60 lbs.
• Basic math and reading skills
• Ability to withstand paper dust
• Ability to withstand noise and humidity of running press (hearing protection required)
• Ability to respond immediately to safety and other signals on machinery
• Basic communication skills

• Presses are up to 4 - levels high
• Will use each level many times throughout the daily shift.
• During any day, a specialty cleanup worker will climb, bend, reach, stoop, lift and crawl throughout the day.
• Shift work - 365 days a year operation with holidays, weekends.
