About the Opportunity

The Optimization Strategist for SEM and SEO is a digital marketing professional responsible for developing and executing strategies to improve a website's organic search ranking (SEO) and manage paid search campaigns (SEM) across various search engines. The goal is to maximize website traffic and conversions by optimizing content, website structure, and paid advertising efforts based on relevant keywords and user intent. This includes:

  • Keyword research
  • On-page and off-page SEO optimization
  • Managing PPC campaigns
  • Analyzing data to track performance
  • Making data-driven adjustments to optimize results across both organic and paid search channels

This role requires direct management of SEM & SEO marketing platforms, and close collaboration with Account Management and Sales teams on overall client strategies and KPIs.

Position Requirements

  • Collaborate with account management and sales teams to create content strategies and achieve goals
  • Analyze key performance indicators of websites
  • Determine target demographics
  • Manage day-to-day campaign performance
  • Identify real-time search trends
  • Participate in client advertising performance discussions
  • Must work well in a team, multitask, stay organized, be self-motivated, and think critically
  • Attention to detail and knowledge of search engine trends are essential
  • 1+ years of experience as an SEM strategist or similar role
  • Strong understanding of SEO, search engine algorithms, and web traffic data

Position Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage campaign performance and seek improvement opportunities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues using best practices and creative solutions
  • Develop technical marketing strategies aligned with client goals
  • Collaborate with internal partners such as Account Managers and Sales Representatives
  • Incorporate evolving technologies and processes into client solutions

Key Skills

  • Technical Expertise: Strong grasp of SEO best practices, search engine algorithms, analytics tools, and PPC platforms
  • Data Analysis: Ability to interpret complex data sets and optimize campaigns; strong Excel skills required
  • Communication: Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Work with developers to optimize user experience for search engine visibility
  • Regularly explore optimization opportunities and stay current with trends
  • Manage KPIs for individual clients and the broader business

About You

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, or related field
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in digital advertising optimization
  • 2+ years of experience with Google Analytics
  • 2+ years of experience in digital marketing and analytics/reporting
  • Google Analytics Certification required
