The website fulfillment team, Digital Presence team is accepting applications for our10-Week Summer 2024 Internship Program, which will begin on June 3, 2024. The internship experience will provide you with the opportunity to collaborate with top Digital Presence experts, gain exposure to multiple divisions (digital design, website development, SEO-friendly content, copywriting, local sales), and be assigned a mentor to guide and advise you along the way. Hours will range up to 40 hours weekly.

The primary responsibility of the Web Specialist is to design, build, and maintain websites. This internship position offers a unique opportunity to learn about web development, design, and maintenance within a fast-paced and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will work closely with our web fulfillment team to support various projects aimed at enhancing our online presence and optimizing user engagement.

This opportunity is in-market in the Plano, Texas, or Virtual. Company laptops and office supplies are provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and development of web pages, ensuring they are visually appealing, user-friendly, and responsive across different devices using WordPress CNS and other platforms.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to implement SEO strategies and optimize web content for search engines.
  • Support ongoing website maintenance tasks, including updating content, fixing bugs, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Conduct research on industry best practices and emerging trends in web design and development to inform project strategies.
  • Assist in the implementation of web analytics tools to track website performance and user behavior, and provide insights for optimization.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide updates on project progress, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Assist in the creation and optimization of multimedia content, including images, videos, and animations, for web use.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Web Development, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with web design principles, UX/UI best practices, and responsive design techniques.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of SEO principles and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
