The Procurement Manager is responsible for supporting the sourcing and procurement needs of the enterprise by assisting in the analysis & planning, negotiating, selecting, implementing, monitoring, governing and terminating of vendor relationships.

Procurement is a strategic service to the business. This position will leverage their experience and knowledge to establish sustainable commercial relationships that deliver value to Gallagher. A successful candidate will develop and implement cost-optimization/savings opportunities, while balancing operational performance. This position will work closely with cross-functional leadership and stakeholders within the US as well as globally.
Specific Assigned Sourcing Responsibilities:
While all Procurement Managers will generally perform the same tasks, each will have specific areas of responsibility and, within those areas of responsibility specific vendors and vendor management responsibilities.
Assigned Areas: Latin America sourcing needs which will include, but are not limited to Technology Hardware and Software, Office Services & Supplies, and Consulting
Key Responsibilities Include:
Procurement/Strategic Sourcing
- The Procurement Manager is responsible for managing the full sourcing process including; strategy development, industry benchmarking, supplier segmentation, negotiations, award recommendation, business case creation, risk assessment, and contract documentation.
- Delivers savings/financial targets in line with company objectives.
- Demonstrate leadership with the skills to influence others, interact successfully with peers, and with all levels of management in the organization.
- In addition to traditional sourcing value dimensions, the Procurement Manager will create relationships that adhere to company standards for compliance and minimize risk to the organization.
- Implements strategies including creation of RFx documents, defines selection criteria and leads supplier selection in partnership with business stakeholders.
- Manages supplier performance against contracted terms and insures adherence to functional and technical requirements.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree; 7 years minimum related experience
- Excellent overall business acumen and understanding of risk mitigation approaches and contract language usage
- Demonstrated project management skills with ability to lead multiple highly visible global programs
- Experience in working and presenting financial information to develop consensus and buy-in for data-based decisions
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Procurement or a related Sourcing function
- Bilingual Spanish & English (Preferred)
- Excels at communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Adept at spend and data analytics, as well as understanding and anticipating market trends
- Adept at managing a portfolio of projects against the 5 or 7 step procurement process
- Proficient in contract terms negotiation
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
