The Account Manager is responsible for client account management, including handling escalated and complex issues, problem solving, client support and outreach, and customer service.

List of Essential Duties:
Key Account Manager duties include the following:
- Responsible for the day-to-day account management for routine/moderately complex client accounts.
- Manages an assigned book of business and builds, expands, and solidifies relationships with existing clients.
- Leads appropriate resources to address the client's risk/capital management needs.
- Secures existing business and drives the sale of additional services and coverage levels.
- Cultivates relationships with the most senior buyer in the client organization as well as with day-to-day client representatives and buyers.
- Has retention goals for assigned group of accounts.
- May coordinate the work of administrative support and customer service.
- May provide support to an Account Executive and/or a Broker Producer.
- Maintain regular customer relations with Clients.
- Problem solving and coordination of research into escalated and complex Client requests.
- Coordinate and attend monthly outreach meetings with Clients to address any member/ client concerns.
- Coordinate and facilitate open enrollment meetings with Clients, including:
- Schedule and attend meetings
- Train Clients and staff on benefits and related items
- Create and update open enrollment material
- Coordinate, attend and manage trade shows and company events
- Regular travel to Client offices, meetings, trade shows and events
- Supports the Ombudsman with:
- Administrative support as needed
- Release of annual plan rates and changes
- Explanation of annual plan rates and changes to Clients
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.
About You
- Bachelor's degree and 3 or more years’ client coordination and/or claims management experience, OR High School degree with 8 or more years’ client coordination and/or claims management experience required
- Life & Health License required
- Able and willing to travel approximately 50% of the time
- Hybrid position with in office requirements
