 The Director, Sales for Target is responsible for overseeing operational distribution of Funko products to Target, coordinating marketing efforts, producing launches and sales promotions required to achieve sales and profit objectives. This role may also include directing, managing and coaching a team of sales professionals. The Director, Sales will partner with the Sr. Director of Sales in the development and deployment of strategies for your markets.   

What You’ll Do

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts with an annual revenue of $500K or greater
  • Define distribution and retail strategy to support commercial development with retail partners
  • Develop aligned business plans with the accounts, review performance, assess gaps, and recommend actions that optimize business performance
  • Analyze market trends and client needs for the development and performance of sales activities in assigned market
  • Co-develop differentiated products and promotions tailored to the account to achieve aligned financial goals
  • Establish sales targets, designing and implementing sales strategies to meet the targets and mapping the accounts to identify new opportunities
  • Partner in the organization and execution of Funko’s portfolio of client-level campaigns from conception, evaluation, target definition and creative content specification to coordination of all aspects of execution
  • Briefing and coordination of creative content creation for campaigns and promotional activities with key accounts
  • Actively participate in the sales cycle to bring leadership and strategic support to large deals
  • Forecasting activity to ensure appropriate inventory levels and recurring monthly revenue achievement
  • Support national events and trade shows 

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong leadership behaviors with a proven track record of being able to inspire others and manage a diverse, often remote team, in order to deliver quarterly revenue results
  • Knowledge of collectible/toy/cpg industry and customer trends
  • Out of the box thinker; creative and strategic mindset
  • Proven account management or other relevant experience
  • Proven experience in leading and facilitating strategic conversations at C-level
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while maintaining attention to details
  • Highly numerate, with the ability to analyze complex and sometimes incomplete data and make sound commercial decisions based on that analysis
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Highly organized and efficient time management skills
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Marketing or related business field preferred
  • Ten years’ experience in a sales or account management role
  • Experience with ERP or CRM systems preferred (MS Dynamics NAV)
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite

Salary Information
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $131,250 - $175,000 annually.​Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
