Plant Protection Officer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities Include:

Access control, patrol assigned areas and site to ensure the security of the client property, employees and equipment against theft, fraud, fire, flood, vandalism or criminal activity.

Operate security monitoring equipment and telecommunications (i.e. two-way radio, alarm systems).

Monitor security surveillance systems (CCTV).

Resolve conflict situations.

Enforce regulations of establishment.

Ensure safety and emergency procedures are followed.

Respond to alarms, bomb threats and other emergencies.

Report writing.

Skills/Qualifications:

Provide quality customer service.

Demonstrated ability to respond with patience, courtesy, and professionalism.

Ability to work independently and unsupervised.

Verbal and written communication.

Dependable and punctual, able to work with others, problem solving, decision making, critical thinking.

Significant use of memory and attention to detail.

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma. Post secondary education preferred. (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.)

Valid Ontario Security Guard license.

Valid class G driver's license.

Full time availability and be willing to work days, afternoons, midnights, weekends and holidays.

Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. and complete patrols on foot.
