JOB DESCRIPTION
Work with exterior lighting suppliers on optical design, verification, and sign-off
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for exterior lighting commodity (including headlamp, lit badges, fog lamp, lit grille, tail lamp, etc.) optical engineering for various vehicle programs;
• Work with exterior lighting suppliers on optical design, verification, and sign-off; and ensure the milestone optical deliverables to be completed on time with quality; Resolve optical working together with supplier and D&R;
• Lead suppliers to design and develop optical design to meet all requirements; Responsible for robust design verification, engineering sign-off and production validations for optical performance;

• Work with suppliers to design and deliver headlamps that meet CNCAP/CIASI/IIHS program targets;
• Work with global core team on optimizing Ford requirements that meet China customer wants;
• Work with suppliers to resolve filed issues related to optical performance;
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor Degree or above in optical/Automobile Engineering required;
• Minimum of 3 years design experience in auto components, Exterior Lighting experience preferred;
• Knowledge in auto component/subsystem optical design/manufacturing/assembly;
• Experience in optical component /subsystem design verification process and test planning/execution;
• Good engineering/communication skills.
