You will oversee a hybrid landscape of AWS cloud infrastructure and regional data centers, ensuring seamless connectivity and platform resilience across all global operations. You will also lead teams responsible for networking, compute, storage, disaster recovery, and infrastructure automation, enabling the company to scale efficiently while maintaining operational excellence.

A critical focus for this role will be the modernization of legacy infrastructure-addressing historical architectural limitations, consolidating platforms, and adopting a standardized, cloud-forward environment. You'll also play a key role in supporting office build-outs, relocations, and site rationalizations. The role requires close collaboration with the Security organization, as well as Engineering and Product leadership, to establish clear responsibilities, joint planning, and aligned execution.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Strategy & Architecture

  • Define and lead the global IT infrastructure strategy in support of company growth, performance, security, and digital transformation.

  • Modernize and upgrade legacy infrastructure, addressing historical technical debt and replacing fragmented systems with cloud-first, resilient, and scalable platforms.

  • Architect and execute a pragmatic roadmap for cloud migration (AWS), infrastructure automation, and service decoupling.

  • Drive consolidation and strategic decommissioning of legacy data centers and systems to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and strengthen operational control.

  • Ensure infrastructure is compliant with global standards and frameworks (ISO, SOC2, NIS2), and is built with security, availability, and auditability in mind.

Networking, Telephony & Telecoms

  • Oversee all aspects of enterprise networking-LAN, WAN, Internet connectivity, VPNs, and SD-WAN-ensuring performance, reliability, and redundancy.

  • Lead global telecom strategy, managing relationships with ISPs, network providers, and UCaaS vendors.

  • Own the architecture, deployment, and support of the company's enterprise telephony systems, including unified communications

  • Drive the transition from legacy VoIP systems to fully integrated UCaaS environments, ensuring high availability, call quality, and seamless collaboration experiences.

  • Support the build-out, relocation, and closure of office locations and facilities, ensuring infrastructure is delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with physical site planning.

  • Improve global monitoring, alerting, and observability of the network estate using modern tools and best practices.

Cloud Services & Infrastructure Operations

  • Oversee infrastructure-as-code implementation and the automation of provisioning, deployment, and scaling workflows

  • Partner with Engineering to establish shared service models, ensuring infrastructure is consumable, consistent, and secure.

  • Work closely with Engineering and Product teams to define clear accountability and collaboration boundaries for systems, services, and production environments.

  • Implement and maintain robust disaster recovery and business continuity frameworks across infrastructure services.

Security Partnership

  • Act as a strategic partner to the Security organization, ensuring that infrastructure design and operations align with enterprise security policies and threat models.

  • Integrate core infrastructure with monitoring, detection, and response frameworks in coordination with Security leadership.

  • Participate in incident response planning, tabletop exercises, and risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with InfoSec stakeholders.

Operational Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead a globally distributed team of engineers and infrastructure professionals, providing 24x7 operational coverage for corporate and production systems.

  • Recruit, retain, and develop high-performing talent with a strong culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Define team goals, set operational KPIs, and drive engineering best practices in areas such as SRE, incident management, and capacity planning.

  • Establish a metrics-driven culture that focuses on uptime, availability, latency, and efficiency.

  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and long-term investment plans aligned with company growth and priorities.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of IT infrastructure leadership in global, enterprise-scale environments.

  • Deep expertise in cloud architecture (especially AWS), infrastructure modernization, data center consolidation, and hybrid operations.

  • Proven experience managing enterprise networks, global WANs, and modern unified communications platforms (UCaaS/VoIP/Telephony).

  • Strong understanding of security and compliance requirements within infrastructure domains.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead globally distributed engineering teams with 24x7 operational responsibilities.

  • Experience partnering with Security, Engineering, and Product functions to deliver cross-functional technology outcomes.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills-able to engage at both the C-level and engineering level.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
