Member Services Grants Intern

New York, NY

This position works within the Member Services department. This department is responsible for managing and increasing engagement with the member network of more than 650 emergency feeding programs (food pantries, soup kitchens, shelter sites) throughout the five boroughs. To support these tasks, this position will:

  • Provide insight into grantmaking and grants management from a Funders' perspective
  • Support the Manager of Member Investments in hosting a NYS Nutrition-based (HPNAP) Grant Application Scoring Day
  • Participate in compiling Food Bank For New York City (FBNYC)'s Equipment Investments for FBNYC's fiscal year (July 1st, 2023, to June 30th 2024).
  • Support the Manager of Member Investments in sending out a reporting requirement to awardees and collecting the responses for data analysis.

  • Basic computer skills; typing, data entry in Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Suite
  • Strong communication skills (both written & verbal); ability to adjust tone to various audiences

  • Create a PowerPoint deck about FBNYC's investment results in the member network in Fiscal year 2024 and present it to relevant stakeholders
  • Create a Storybanking Calendar, mapping out relevant opportunities per month to highlight various members in the network.
