Overview:
Flexport is looking for an ambitious and detail-oriented Events Manager to support the planning and execution of high-impact events that elevate our brand and drive business results. This role is ideal for a hands-on events professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and has a proven track record of managing logistics, vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional event experiences. The Events Manager will play a key role in executing Flexport-hosted events, including our annual customer conference, and internal conferences.
Responsibilities:
- Event Planning & Execution: Own the end-to-end execution of events, from initial planning through on-site management and post-event wrap-up.
- Logistics Management: Coordinate all event logistics, including venue selection, travel planning, catering, registration, shipping, and AV setup.
- Vendor Coordination: Manage external vendors and agency partners, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met.
- Budget Support: Assist in the development and management of event budgets, track expenses, and reconcile costs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across marketing, sales, product, and creative to align event strategy with business goals.
- On-Site Event Execution: Travel as needed to provide on-the-ground support and ensure smooth, high-quality event experiences.
- Brand Alignment: Ensure all event elements are on-brand, visually polished, and support Flexport’s messaging and positioning.
- Post-Event Reporting: Support post-event debriefs, reporting, and analysis to measure impact and identify opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in event planning and production, ideally in B2B or tech environments.
- Proven ability to manage logistics for events of varying size and complexity, including customer-facing conferences.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working with creative teams and vendors to bring event concepts to life.
- Budget management or budget tracking experience required.
- Ability to travel as needed to support on-site execution.
