Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a/an Director of Sourcing (Dallas TX)
Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain Embedded and Critical Power the Director of Sourcing will be responsible for developing corporate and strategic plans and policies to achieve strong supplier relationships to assure consistent supply as well as managing a team of Commodity professionals in their delivery and implementation, to enhance the profitability of the business segment and its customers.

What a typical day looks like:
- Develop and define corporate and strategic plans for the Commodity team and deploy and direct through subordinate managers the implementation of strategic objectives.
- Be responsible for making final stances on administrative or operational matters and ensure effective achievement of operations objectives. Be comfortable with major choices that will impact the profitability of the segment.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of strategic supplier relationships and act as escalation to the executive in the event of major supplier issues.
- Liaise with Finance and senior management to ensure budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.
- Use broad vision and knowledge of the Flex capabilities to enhance the Commodity function through the introduction of technology roadmaps and new initiatives to identify supply and demand trends.
- Negotiate on behalf of the executive with regard to supplier contracts to achieve cost reductions where possible.
- Actively drive cost out initiatives.
- Implement a resilient supply chain.
- Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training plus a minimum of 8 years of management experience. A Master's or MBA degree is preferred.
- Experience in power distribution industry
- Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
- Availability to travel
