To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Director Functional Safety & Cybersecurity (m/f/d) ideally located in Stuttgart, Germany.

Reporting to the Director Global Engineering Operation & Process Management, the Director Functional Safety & Cybersecurity (m/f/d) role will be responsible for leading Flex's Functional Safety & Cybersecurity capabilities for OEM customer product development according to ISO 26262 & ISO 21434 and other relevant state-of-the-art norms and regulations.

This is a global position that provides technical leadership to develop Functional Safety & Cybersecurity competencies, establishes processes & best practices and defines ongoing training across Flex's global design centers. The responsibilities will span across all Flex Automotive product categories including ADAS, Autonomous Driving, Connectivity, Compute, Power Electronics.

What a typical day looks like:
  • Drive the overall safety & cybersecurity culture within the organization;
  • Evaluate, develop, and implement policies, standards, and practices;
  • Lead the FUSA and cyber security team;
  • Providing technical leadership for global teams performing product development for OEMs;
  • Establish and manage FUSA & Cybersecurity development processes, tools, and documentation standards;
  • Develop team training plans for development of FUSA & Cybersecurity work products;
  • Evaluate and select 3rd party FUSA & Cybersecurity service providers, establish partnerships, develop Statement of Work, monitor progress & quality of activities & work products.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
  • A completed degree in a related Engineering discipline as well as vast experience with Tier 1 or OEM in Functional Safety & Cybersecurity with a proven track record of launching high volume automotive products up to ASIL D & CAL 4;
  • Knowledge of leading-edge, automotive technology solutions for modern vehicle architectures: Autonomous Driving, Connectivity, Compute, Power Electronics;
  • Experience reviewing contracts and defining development agreements;
  • Skilled in defining training needs and developing training plans;
  • Knowledgeable in ISO 26262, ISO 21434 & UNECE R155 & R156, ISO 5112, ASpice;
  • Competent with technical risk analyses, e.g. FMEA, FMEDA, FTA;
  • Familiarity with state-of-the-art SW tools for product development according to ISO 26262 & ISO 21434.
