Reporting to the Software Engineering Head, the Automation Vision Engineer role involves...
What a typical day looks like:
- Perform site surveys to identify and document existing customer equipment and processes
- Feasibility study, technical analysis even lab testing for customer new product/process vision applying requirement
- Vision Software architecture & design via programming
- GUI & HMI design and implementation, special as portion of vision function
- Conduct and supervise integration and service by technicians and user engineers
- Collaboration with Machine controls for whole line process, even shop-floor management systems,
- Like PLC's, Drivers, Robots controllers, material feeding, MES, ERP based on Industrial communications protocols
- Support & collaborate whole system Commissioning, Qualification, de-bugging, training &service
- Create and maintain related Vision system documentation (logics & functional schematics, state machines, business scenarios, sequencing & timing diagrams, process flows, acceptance test procedures, technical/operational/maintenance manuals)
- Manage the vision system configuration control and function release based on version control
- Coordinate project activities with other associates, outside vendors/contractors and customers.
- Fluent oral English is prior.
- Technical Savvy, system oriented, great attitude to machines, processes and controls.
- Passionate and creative, hands-on, love to code.
- Loves to work in a dynamic environment
- Well organized, pays attention to details, methodical
- Capable of analyzing, de-bugging and solving complex problems
- Quick learning, team player, working under pressure & multi-tasking.
- Great communicator - verbally and written
- Proficient in programming
- A Vision Engineer/Sr Engineer role with a minimum of 1 years of experience in:
- Skillful programming by NI Vision/Halcon/VisionPro/Matrox... for Vision development, Good at AI vision be Plus
- Good knowledge image processing, computer vision, and signal interface, and simulate modelling and configurate HW & vision parameter.
- Professional Background on projection optics & imaging arithmetic be plus
- Skillful on evaluating light, Len, CCD, have experience on developing vision project independently
- Familiar deep learning, vision technology, pattern recognition arithmetic, Strong Mathematical background plus
- Knowledge on development of robot vision including core vision arithmetic for development & verification
- Skillful vision application integrating with robot motion control
- Well known Application on Serial & Bus communication protocol: Ethernet/ Profibus, RS232/422/485, Modbus, CAN Open, EtherCAT, Profibus, TCP/IP and others
- Strong Hardware capability, including but not limited wire drawing, troubleshooting, and configuration with industry leading vendors (Cognex, Omron, Panasonic, etc. ...)
- Multi-disciplinary systems, multi software platforms. Good at Labview/C## be Plus
- Know DFMEA, PFMEA, DOE, CPK, GR&R, related assistance tools be plus
- Familiar related standard & system, like ISO9001, TS16949, EMS IPC-3 be plus
