Job Summary

General Purpose:
This exciting, highly impactful position offers the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art medical device manufacturing site! Due to an internal promotion, Flex is seeking a full-time manufacturing automation specialist to maintain and program robots, set up cells, and handle troubleshooting. This person will also be responsible for specifying, designing and maintaining automation equipment, and tooling.

Principle Accountabilities:
• Set up and maintain cells.
• Teach automated manufacturing robots.
• Cross train operators and maintenance team members.
• Troubleshoot and improve automation.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Schedule maintenance and preventative maintenance on machines.
• Fix breakdowns or schedule OEM calls.
• Work hours: M-F, regular daytime business hours
• Travel: very minimal to almost no travel.

Required Education, Experience, etc.:
• Bachelor's Degree NOT required.
• Must have at least 5 years of industry work experience from a medical device manufacturing company (or similar) which utilizes high-speed automation.
• Must also have proven hands-on experience troubleshooting and maintaining automated manufacturing robotic equipment and machinery, setting up and maintaining cells, etc.
• Troubleshooting and maintenance experience of any of the following equipment, is required: CNC milling machines, CNC grinders, sinkers, hole poppers, ID/OD grinding machines, ID/OD grinders, water grinders, surface grinders, JT05

Pay Range (Applicable to Illinois)

$96,400.00 USD - $132,500.00 USD Annual
