Overview
This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.
We are looking for a seasoned, hands-on DevSecOps Engineer to join our growing Digital Services delivery team. We have a highly engaged team of engineers and are driving a new custom developed platform and implementing automated testing on all newly developed projects. This position provides complex technical support to data processing systems through enhancement of related software and processes. Develops software and procedures that improve processing capabilities. Analyzes, codes, tests, and implements in coordination with management, associates, and end users. Serves as production system support by resolving issues and ensuring ongoing functionality. May oversee the work of less experienced analysts or assist in special projects as needed.
Responsibilities
- Working on Jenkins pipelines to drive all Microservices builds out to the Docker registry and then deployed to openshift, create Pods and manage using Kubernetes
- Developing, Testing, Debugging, and Troubleshooting of Containerized-based Application on Open-shift platform
- Designing and implementing automation tools and frameworks for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment
- Monitor the availability, latency, and overall system health. Support On-call incident, change management and root cause analysis
- Setting up of Continuous Integration processes with build, release, and test. Utilized internal tools like GitLab, Jenkins tools to perform and implement Continuous Integration processes
- Work on Ansible and Ansible Tower to automate repetitive tasks, to deploy critical applications quickly, and proactively manage the changes and write playbooks in YAML language to manage Web Applications
- Create repositories, branches, tags in Gitlab and assist developers to fix code merging issues and to implement the parallel development process
- Collaborating with development and operations teams to identify and address bottlenecks in the software development lifecycle
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to application development, deployment, and operations
- Performs routine application maintenance to ensure the production environment runs smoothly. Develops maintenance requirements and procedures
- Planning the team structure, activities, and involvement in project management activities.
- Support ElasticSearch and Redis cluster changes and monitoring
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Software Application Development and Maintenance OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Software Application Development and Maintenance
Preferred Area of Experience:
- Current contractor/contingent worker for First Citizens Bank
- Knowledge of First Citizens Bank systems and processes
- Knowledge DevSecOps best practices and implementations
- Experience in developing and maintaining CICD pipelines in Gitlab or Jenkins
- Experience with container orchestration (e.g., Openshift, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge in AWS & Azure Cloud Services
- Experience in working with cross functional teams , including App security, Application engineering, and Infrastructure teams
- Experience in developing automations using scripting languages such as Python
- Knowledge in major tech stacks of modern application development
- Experience in developing build process for Java, .net, ios and android, and automating deployment process for Openshift and VM

The base pay for this position is generally between $134,000 and $215,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
