Enterprise Change Risk Management Director

Overview

Responsible for the development, implementation, and management of the Bank's enterprise change oversight framework. This will include leading the design, implementation, execution, and strategic development of the enterprise-wide change oversight framework, including risk assessment for new products/services, strategic projects, and significant business activities. This role will coordinate with leaders across the Three Lines to ensure adherence to policies and standards relevant to the assessment, challenge, and approval of these activities. This includes development of efficient and effective stakeholder engagement as well as coordination of ongoing monitoring. This role will have direct accountability for operational risk assessment and oversight activities within this framework. To perform this role, a high level of interaction is required with business units and associates at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

    • Design, develop, and oversee enterprise-level change oversight program
    • Provide leadership and guidance to senior level associates across various change centers to promote efficacy and coordination during the change lifecycle
    • Establish consistency for enterprise change standards to promote consistency and connectivity
    • Lead relevant corporate governance group activities to support adequate governance and oversight of strategic business activities
    • Create and evolve the implementation requirements for high-risk changes and new products
    • Risk Identification and Assessment:
      • Partners with Second Line oversight functions to support review and challenge of risk identification and assessment
      • Provides overarching review and guidance for the identification and assessment of operational risk exposures
      • Coordinates advisory review, establishing expectations as necessary to ensure adherence to the Bank's Risk Appetite
      • Identifies control deficiencies and escalates issues to management
    • Risk Monitoring and Reporting:
      • Facilitates the development of analyses and reports to support the appropriate monitoring and reporting of change risk
      • Compiles information and utilizes reporting to escalate risk exposures to senior and executive management
      • Analyzes data, identify trends, and summarizes large amounts of information succinctly to drive actionable reporting
    • Develops enterprise level policies and standards to ensure consistent and appropriate adherence to the Bank's change oversight approach

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree, with a minimum of 10 years financial services experience, preferably in enterprise risk management, operational risk management, compliance, and/or audit.

Additional Requirements:
      • Knowledge of regulatory guidance pertaining to enterprise risk and operational risk (e.g., FDIC, FRB, OCC, CFPB, etc.)
      • Knowledge of change management, project management, or process improvement methodologies
      • In depth knowledge of general financial products and services
      • Experience working in complex and changing business and operating environments
      • Ability to directly interact and communicate effectively with all levels of management
      • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
      • Maintains a high level of attention to detail
      • Must be able to meet deadlines


Other Preferred Qualifications:
      • Strong experience in Enterprise and/or Operational Risk
      • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, etc.)
      • Risk management certification (e.g., CERP, CRISC, etc.)
      • Experience working with a GRC application
The base pay for this position is relative to your experience but the range is generally $150,000 to $225,000 per year. This position is eligible for variable compensation, which may be in the form of incentive, bonus, or commission pay.
